Beyond writing, I also love creating & editing (and listening to in my free time!) podcast episodes! Below are links to some that I have worked on:
For my COMM 362 podcasting class, our final project was to create a podcast episode for our class podcast to highlight how COVID-19 affected an aspect of Penn State. For mine, I choose to highlight Penn State's musical theatre program, showing what it was like to preform during a pandemic. I interviewed a student, two professors and the head of the program. I also wrote the script and edited the audio to create a 30 minute long podcast!
For my English 15 class my freshman year of college, I was given an assignment to create a podcast episode to "correct a misconception." I chose to create a podcast to show people that local libraries are IMPORTANT! I interviewed employees at Schlow Library, the local library of State College, PA to learn about why libraries are so vital to their communities.
Healthy Hygge Life
Also for my COMM 362 podcasting class, I created my own podcast show titled, "Healthy Hygge Life." I love the concept of "hygge" and I created two episodes interviewing people who explain how they incorporate this Danish way of living into their own life.
So She Slays
During the summer of 2021, I was a podcast intern for a company called So She Slays.
I was responsible for editing several podcast episodes, starting with raw audio and cutting hour length conversations down to 15-30 minute episodes, as well as adding in music using Adobe Audition.
Here are some episodes that I edited:
